We have two events going on this week that are out of the “norm” for Power House. Tonight, we will be having at least 2 kids from Power House getting baptized along with the other Rezkidz children. I wanted to give our Power House kids the opportunity to get baptized. We used the Alexander site to do a trial run. For three weeks, we taught on the subject of baptism at the Alexander site. We wanted to make sure that the kids wanted to get baptized for the right reason, so the kids have no idea that there will be a reception afterwards where there will be cake and candy. I’m sure they will be surprised!
On Saturday, we will be having a make up day for the rained out John Ball Zoo event. The event will be held at Harrison Park Elementary from 12 PM – 4 PM. Let me know if you would like to volunteer. We need help with:
- managing the inflatables
- Power House services
- handing out flyers on Friday
- other miscellaneous volunteer positions
I’ll keep you updated on these events.
As I watched from my seat the awesomeness of what God’s done through 2 of our kids from Power House get baptized, I couldn’t help or stop myself from tearing up. Brushing the tears off my cheeks I could see that I wasn’t the only one who was moved by the step our kids had made to show their committment to God and their faith. Their own parents were also wiping tears of their own away. I was so completely honored to have been a part of such a pivotal part of their lives…humbled that God would choose me, trust me, to have a role in all of what He’s doing. Knowing that just reveals to me that it’s ONLY GOD!
