We had a great time at KidzCamp this summer! Power House had 10 girls from 3 different sites at the August segment of camp! That’s 13 girls and 3 boys for both of the camps this summer. That’s the most we’ve ever sent to camp in one year!!!
It’s been an exciting year at Power House! We have so much to thank the Lord for!
The last camp we went to was Springhill in Evart, MI. It was the first time our ministry had been there and it was very different but the same in some aspects, hmmmm…
If you were a kid of any age there was something you could challenge yourself in at Springhill. It was a great place to face your fears! For instance, as you may have noticed Natalia is holding a baby bunny, the kids experienced a petting farm. And they loved it!! One day the some of the girls came up to me and said Ms. Char all out of breath, “we were walking, and a deer came running out just in front of us!” I said wow, that’s so cool, how far was it from you? And they said only this far as they held out their arms about 20 inches or so…I said that was awesome! And she said “I was scared!” Then we all laughed!
We all stayed in the Tepee’s and it was an experience we won’t soon forget! I know the girls had fun and it was an amazing time for all the girls and counselors. We had Crystal who was counselor, and Twana, and Hillary who were assistants.
The Holy Spirit was so powerful and moved in such an awesome way on Wednesday night at chapel. Many decisions were made to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We are so grateful to our counselors and for such a wonderful group of girls at camp!
We want to thank all those who helped in fundraising, the car wash, car show, and with donations. You helped impact a group of kids with an experience that may have helped change their lives.
Discipleship and relationships is part of the core values of Power House, and camp is a tool to do this.
So all in all Camp 2009 was a success! Thank you again to all those who made it possible.
